My friends 02 Toyota Solara V6 is due for a timing belt change. Since she has a new baby she can't afford the $1,300 the dealer quoted her. I couldn't find any other shops in the area that would do it for less than a thousand either. I can get all the parts from Napa for <$300 though. Does any one have experience with timing belts on Toyota V6's? I've only ever done them on domestics, and only one V6, the rest were I4s. I have all the tools I need from the other jobs, any helpful advice?
