Philly is in the crosshairs too. The city is on lock down as of 5 pm Sunday - officially a state of emergency with instructions to stay off the roads. I am making sure we have:
Food (including the freeze dried camping kind)
Extra ice in the freezer (keeps it colder longer in a power outage)
Camping stove (not for indoor use because of carbon monoxide)
Water (bottled, camping jugs filled, bathtub filled)
Water filter
Crank Weather radio that gets the NOAA broadcasts
Flashlights (full batteries or the crank kind)
Laptop computer and phones fully charged
Tarps
Rope
Duct tape
Air conditioners out of windows and storm windows secured
DC-AC Inverter in Jeep for charging cell phones
Full tank of gasoline
Not parked under a tree!

Just a few words of caution...
Even with a tricked out Jeep, :JEEPIN: stay under cover and don't drive in this storm. Keep out of low lying areas that may flood (along rivers and creeks - water rises fast... or the shore - which will experience a 6-10 foot storm surge). Never try to drive across rushing flood water, even if it doesn't look that deep to you. Your rig could be swept away and you could be drowned. :grim: I like you all too much to lose anyone! Be prepared to hunker down for a few days, while keeping aware of official broadcasts (in the event of an evacuation) is the best defense.
God bless, and good luck!
LFH

go get the girl and take her to your folks house with you.
You'll be in a more familiar place and not wonder what she is going through.
