Clean it real good, sand it down and either spray it yourself or have it professionally sprayed with bedliner. Rhino and Line-X are both good choices.
You can buy bedliner in a spray can at the parts stores or some hardware stores like ACE, but they do not produce the nice thick coating on items like the professional services do!
Bedliner spray requires specific preparation to allow the coating to adhere and bond correctly! The better the coating adheres determines how long it will last and how well it will protect!
If applied correctly, the aromatic or aliphatic polyurea or polyurethane produces an
extremely tough and long lasting durable finish and protects whatever is encapsulated in it.
I have had bumpers, brush guards, 4 wheeler racks/parts, tractor parts, and outdoor equipment sprayed to protect them from wear and the environment!
VERY GOOD STUFF!!!
