I have and like the "Wade" in channel ones. They have held up very well and work.

I'm considering putting side window wind deflectors on this Jeep. I've owned over 50 cars in my life but none have had these, and I've never installed or removed any from anyone else's vehicle. Before I drop cash, I'd like to get as much input from others' experience as I can. So all you fellers (gals included) out there experienced with side window wind deflectors... What is your preference, In-channel type, or tape-on-door type and why? Is there any brand with appearance, performance, and/or durability that is significantly above all others? Edit: I have already purchased a bug deflector for the hood. I went with Auto Vent Shade Bugflector II in dark smoke. Thanks G |

I’ve had the stick-on and in-channel versions on different vehicles. I prefer the in-channel ventshades because they are sturdier and last longer. I believe the ones I have now are made by WeatherTech. They’ve been on my Jeep for more than 5 years now and are still in good shape. |

There is a feature that the higher priced few such as Weather Tech and Wade share, and cheaper sets do not include. Where most others cover from the 'B' Pillar, forward to the point where the window goes from angled to vertical, and end there next to the peak of the side mirror triangle, The more expensive sets cover in front, all the way down to the door sill. What I'm curious about, does this little section make enough difference to justify double the price? Is there a difference in wind noise, or rain splatter when driving? I know in many cases, it's those little things that can make cheap=intolerable and expensive=the only reasonable choice. I just don't know if it applies to this case. The main thing I'm curious about with the stick-to-the-door sets, is, are they hardy enough to handle soft cloth car washes? |

Guess it depends on how you are planning to use them? I vote for the ones that cover the lower section to prevent rain from coming in when you leave the windows cracked open. But on the other hand, the longer ones may make a little more wind noise if you plan to drive around with windows just cracked open a little which I never do. The only purpose I use them for is to leave windows cracked open about 2 inches when vehicle is parked out in the sun on a hot day. We can and do have hot muggy summer days of 100+ temps and being able to leave windows cracked open along with the sunroof helps. I also have a factory Mopar deflector on the sunroof as well.  And I have been through the automated car wash a few times with no issues because of them...
