If the forum software is antiquated, it's also possible that the underlying web server tops out at support for SSL 3.0 and can't do TLS (or a current version of TLS). That pretty much makes the possibility of TLS for the forum a moot point, but I'm speculating on that one. It also means that upgrading the forum software may be a no-go until the HTTP server also gets an upgrade, but, again, that's more speculation on my behalf.

I hear you. Came to a similar conclusion re: the KJ a while back, but there does seem to be more activity on that side than on the KK side. *shrug*
