Hello! I’ve been researching crd lifts for a little bit and the general agreement is don’t go over 2.5 inches unless you have deep pockets right? I don’t really know much but would a subframe drop allow for a bigger lift even on crd models? They don’t seem too expensive. anyone’s .02¢ would be appreciated.

If you want to go higher than 2.5" lift or maybe 3" max, it may be time to consider a SFA conversion. It may be better suited and much stronger than trying to simply drop the engine cradle. :juggle:

Ok, thanks I recently saw a gasser lifted 5 inches with a subframe drop on yt and thought that would be something viable for the crd. Has anyone ever done or attempted this? To me at least a subframe drop seems easier and cheaper than a SFA conversion but, I'm also very mechanically uninclined. Basically my question is since the reason you can't lift the crd more than 2.5 is because of the cv angles or what not would a subframe drop allow you to get a higher lift without damaging my suspension. Thanks for your time!
