Here we go again! We are planning another Jeeping/shooting event for November 2, 2013. OK, more of a washboard/rattle all of your teeth fillings out road, than wheeling. As with the last event, gun ownership is not required to participate.

We will be meeting off Hodge Road and 15 freeway at 9:00 and leave to our spot at 9:30.

We are planning something new and fun for this trip! We are going to set up a scaled down 3 gun competition. Basically, it is a timed event using a shotgun, an AR-15 and a pistol. Points are awarded for time and accuracy. Safety and rules will be provided the day of the event. Note: we won’t be using holsters, or moving around for our competition like in a normal 3 gun competition. Let’s keep it simple and fun!

You can YouTube “3 gun competition” to see some awesome videos of the pros going at it. Again, our competition will not be this intense!

I will provide the 3 guns for those that do not have all, or any of them, so everyone is able to participate. Of course, if you have your own, you are welcome to use them (or mine).

We will also have an “open” shooting session like last time.

If you did not participate in the last shooting event, please PM me your e-mail so I can send you the forms to fill out.

Post up here if you can make it or you have any questions.

Edit - safety rules will be handed out and gone over the day of the event. Please bring ear and eye protection and closed toe shoes. Bring lunch/snacks and water.

OK, so I'm planning the 3 gun competition and need a head count on who would like to participate in it. I want to make sure there is enough ammo for everyone.

Also, please pm me your e-mail address if you didn't participate in the last shooting event so I can send you over the forms to fill out and sign.

Lastly, I will have a BBQ at my place after the event in Victorville (which is on the way home for everyone). I will supply burgers, hot dogs, and water. You are welcome to bring your own meat and alcoholic beverage if you like. Please let me know if you plan on attending the BBQ so I can make sure there is enough food.

For anyone interested, some of us will meet up for breakfast at the Denny's in Victorville. It is the one off the Palmdale exit. Here is the address - 14244 Valley Center Drive, Victorville, CA 92392.

We will meet at the Denny's at 7:30 and will leave for the shooting spot at 8:30. Hope to see you there!
