Hey Everyone, We are planning a trail run on Friday July 4th. The trail info will be posted soon, but we will not make it difficult so everyone and anyone can come along. We will meet at the Big Bear Discovery Center at 10.00 am and leave for a trail at 10:30. After the trail run some of us are getting rooms at Motel 6, we can go out for a group dinner and then after go watch the fireworks on top of Gold Mountain. I hope some of you can make it out it will be alot of fun! Ok I have a plan for Friday. Start at the Discovery Center, we go towards Gold Mountain and turn on the road for the Dump. Take Holcomb Valley Road to 3N02 we take that to 3N10 which is on the way to the gatekeeper of John Bull. We will then turn off onto 3N32 before the entrance of John Bull and and do the squeeze and then head back to Holcomb Valley road. From there we will just play it by ear. We are planning for an early dinner at Sizzler at 4pm. We will head up Gold Mountain around 6. |

Wife and I are thinking about going, what rates did you guys get for motel 6? Asking since I was told $99+tax over the phone but can't confirm online. At what time are the fireworks over? |

At what time are the fireworks over? We paid $79.99 plus tax. But we booked a while ago. They might have raised the prices since then. I am not sure what time the fireworks end, maybe 9-10? Come on out it will be alot of fun. |

Room booked at Motel 6. FYI, the guy at front desk said they had plenty of rooms left but that they were having trouble with their online system so if you can't book online, call the front desk, not the 1800 reservation number. |
