Hello Lost Jeepers,
KOPL- Kids on Public Land event is here again Sept 20 and 21, 2014 . Come volunteer with us and show these young kids what wheeling in our forests is about and have a great time. If you plan on volunteering there is a form that has to be filled out and sent in to the KOPL staff.
Side Note: We also get AAT hours for our volunteer time.

Some of us will be camping in Barton Flats Campground Fri Sept 19 through Sun 21. You need to reserve through Reserve America here is link. http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/b ... rkId=70181

KOPL Information:
Dear KIDS ON PUBLIC LAND Volunteers and Sponsors,

The KOPL committee is very proud to announce the 16th annual KIDS ON PUBLIC LAND event will be held on September 20 & 21 at Camp Conrad-Chinnock, in Barton Flats near Hwy 38 & Jenks Lake Rd East. Camp Conrad-Chinnock in the San Bernardino National Forest has graciously opened their doors to welcome our event. We’re so excited to once again have access to this wide open, airy, foresty location to host this year’s KIDS ON PUBLIC LAND event!

What began as an idea born from a campfire conversation, KOPL has grown to become a HUGE success, year after year, thanks to the continued support of each of our volunteers and supporters. This year we again ask you to volunteer your precious time and support to help make this year’s event just as special as previous years. It’s because of the continued generosity of our volunteers and supporters that KIDS ON PUBLIC LAND has been so successful for so many years. Without you we would not be able to provide these wonderful kids the opportunity to experience a fun-filled day in our forest learning motorcycle and ATV safety, panning for gold, hands-on geology lesson, how to keep from getting lost with the Hug-A-Tree program and their all-time favorite, a ride in a 4x4 through the forest!

Several volunteers will be needed each day to help with tasks throughout the event including 4x4 drivers both morning and afternoon (gentlemen drive on Saturday, ladies drive on Sunday). I’ve attached a copy of this year’s Volunteer Registration form. Please fill it out and send it back either by fax, scan & email, or snail-mail.
As always, lunch will be provided for our volunteers. We’ll also again be hosting the Saturday night volunteer dinner.

We’re also in need of gifts for the children’s goodie bags (50 boys and/or 50 girls). Examples of gifts could be pencils, pens, hats, DVD’s, toy cars, combs, brushes, dental hygiene products, school supplies, books, stickers, packaged snacks, anything you think our kids might enjoy.
We also graciously request any monetary donations to help support this event. KIDS ON PUBLIC LAND is a not-for-profit event. All donations received go towards event expenses. Any dollar amount is greatly appreciated.

More details about the Kids On Public Land event can be found here: http://www.sidekickoffroad.com/kopl.htm

Thank you for your support!
