I have a question...whats the most hp and trq anyones seen from Jeeps 3.7V-6? Isn't stock hp like 210 and tq like 235? I'd like to bump it up to around 250hp and 330tq. Just wondering what was out there

Change the axle ratios to 4.10,or go with Marlins steel diff and do 4.88. Make it feel like a nail eater. Either is cheaper, more bang for the buck,I do believe.

Re-gear? I like the sound of that for wheeling but at highway speeds my RPMs are high already. At like 75mph I'm running 2,500 RPM.....sounds high to me. Maybe I'm just used to my Camaro & Mustang.

Or then re-gear and swap in a 6 speed stick or the 545RFE.

Kidding. A 4.7L swap is probably a better bet. Just get a later version, 2008 and up IIRC.

Well, when I get back from deployment I'm throwing a lift, 32"tires and an ARB locker in the rear axle. I kinda wanna make it more trail ready (even though so far it's gone some awesome places) but the drag racer in me think about that power side of things lol

You need to regear then for 32" tires, you will still be sucking with 4.10's and 32" tires(I know, been there done that). For the 3.7 you want your rpm's between 2500-3000rpms at highway speeds, that is the 3.7's "sweet spot" for best power and mpg's.

Crikey I would be driving everywhere at 70-80mph in that rev range 2000 rpm gives me 65mph and 22 mpg

When I was still IFS I was running 2900rpm's doing 78mph and getting just shy off 22mpg's.

AirRam has ported heads, forged piston/rod combos from 8.5:1 to 11:1, ATI damper, ARP studs.
HP Tuners now covers pre 05 Chrysler ECUs, so laptop tuning is an option.
JBA has shorty headers.
FlyinRyan has ported TBs.
Denso has 12 hole injectors that fit.
Performance Distributors has their S.O.S coils.

For the trans:
Sonnax HP parts and shift kit.

With all this stuff available, I don't see why a beast of a Powertech couldn't be built.
Think about it, a gutted KJ could weigh 3500. Corbeau makes brackets for the KJ, so better seats. I've got a whole list of other parts to build one hell of a sleeper.

545rfe TCM swap.
16.660 1/4 (hot day), 4100lb, hwy 21 mpg.

Corbeau seat brackets work great for the front seats. Image
