hyedipin, it looks like the two cylinders are the quick connects for the cold water in and hot water out. I started doing some research on making one, it looks pretty easy if you can find 3" copper and know how to solder the connections well.
Without knowing for sure it looks like the unit that JJsKJ has is from R&M specialty products and is around $300.
