| Post subject: | Greasing Front End |
The other day I started to hear a groan in my front end and thought I would go and grease my front end. But then I crawled under the Jeep and couldn't find any grease zerts? Are there any or should I be looking for something else? It only groans when I go over bumps. Thanks LR |

most common issue seems to be the sway bar bushings - but you have to pull things apart to grease them. I don't think the factory made anything grease-able |

Ok thanks, that sucks though. Now I have to take it to the shop to get it greased, haha. But I need my tires balanced too. LR |

No greasable areas in the front. You can grease some things if you want (i.e. sway bar bushings...if you are getting noise) |

Are the swaybar bushings replaceable? How do you grease them? |

I believe there are some aftermarket bushings that will do the job, seem to recall maybe BeepBeepJeepJeep did this? Anyway, to grease them get a bottle of silicone lubricant, put the little red hose in the nozzle and stick it up against where the swaybar goes thru the main bushings and spray the heck out of it. Then move down and get the bushings on the link arms, and maybe hit the upper and lower control arm bushings while you're under there. |
