Post subject:  sway bars

I hear of people running without these on the front and back of more than just kj's
So any experianced folk out here without swaybars on their jeeps
The rear i figure yu could live without heck there are alot of trucks that dont even have one on the rear
but the front is my main concern could should you just leave it off and run...?? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

And if so are there any advantages the running without swaybars ???
Other jeeps i see kits for dissconectors for the front swaybars a guess to run with them then offroad without them..??..

Any infor would be most helpful
Again thankx all for your time and experiance and tips

Check out this thread, it pretty much sums it ll up. Rear, drop it. Front, keep it.

I was up in Little Moab this last weekend and seriously regretted not having had removed my rear sway bar before the trip. I got back tonight and the rear is coming off tomorrow morning. :D

Hey Daspes, thanks again for the I.D. badge link.

Toss the rear unless you tow a trailer.
No front swaybar = more front flex, no one can argue against that its just plain true. But is it necessarily good? I think it is, as traction=tires on the ground.
Some say that because one side can stuff more, it effectively lowers the body 'unlike a solid axle', which would have the other side drooping to push the body up like a teeter-toter.
But IFS also allows the other side to droop more, which I feel makes up for the other side just as a solid axle would, though maybe not inch for inch as the straight tube would be forced to do (think teeter-toter, like I said above).
I haven't had mine off for awhile, I don't go above 65 MPH.

I think Strawberry Pass would have been easier without the rear sway bar
