Post subject: | The Mystery Leak |
I have a question for everyone. I came back from work today and noticed that there was a leak under the KJ when I parked...there is also liquid on the wheelwell, underneath the car and in some hoses. About a month ago I recently took it to Bill Luke and they told me it had a Power Steering Hose leak that needed to be changed at some point. With the leak I had today, what ever it is I guess needs to be changed rather quickly. The thing is...I dont think it is a power steering leak..at least not this one. Here are some photos I took. The liquid seems to be pink and a little slippery but not much. There was only a little bit of fluir missing in the water reservoir but not much and the temperature of the car seems to stay stable...here are some photos...HELP! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That would a coolant leak.Have your cooling system pressure tested to find the leak but it is most likey a cracked radiator.Cracks like to form on the drivers side, upper plastic side tank(close to the battery) on the KJ's. |

Definitely a coolant leak from the color of the drops forming on your KJ. You should fix it as soon as possible. |
