My CRD is having problems going into and staying in 4lo. Pretty sure all it needs is adjustment of the shifter linkage. When it pops out, the shift handle doesn't move and basically goes into 2lo.......so if it's something internal, would it be that it's not fully engaging due to being out of adjusment? Can anyone give me a step by step on how to R&R this so I don't have to pay someone to do it??? Thanks!!!

Anyone? I've done the search thing here using all sorts of query terms, with little to no avail, or vague references.

Everything I've researched here everytime it comes up is where someone had a certain symptom/problem going on like mine but didn't know what was exactly wrong, and all the advice given simply says to check an adjust the tcase shift cable........but never says how. Can someone at least give me a link to where this was possibly discussed before? That, or guess I will just go and buy me a Chiltons or Haynes manual to figure it out.
