Gotta do a evac to find out how much R134A is left in the system, add the correct amount back in with dye and test for leaks. The correct way of doing it.You need 2 gauges, not one,and the corect readings will greatly vary from vehicle to vehicle and day to day on the same vehicle.

The biggest thing that would make me run,and run very fast,is they state it contains a stop leak material. That junk will guarantee a expensive complete replacement of your AC system and you maybe on the hook for the shops AC machine you just destroyed(most are $3500-$5500).

using the dye is a terible way to find a leek it will only work if its a major leek. to find the leek u need to find a ac tech who has a sniffer that can detedt the leeking freeon or coolent many ac techs recomend a leek stop agent too but i have never used this product

Dye is one of the best ways to detect a AC leak in a automotive system since there is alot of other things under the hood that can false trigger 99% of those sniffers. The best way to find a AC leak is by using a ultrasonic leak detector but hard to reach most parts of a automotive AC system using those.

The only techs recommending stop leak in a AC system are those that want your system to totally fail so they can make big $$$ of you when you come in to have the whole system replaced.

Stop leak is total junk and will kill your system.

Dye works but requires the system to run to circulate it in the oil and can be messy.

Electronic leak detectors work if you have a good one. Most of them are crappy.

Using good old leak solution spray which will bubble up when you spray it on a leak is also tried and true.

You don't even have to spring for real leak solution spray, just use bubble soap stuff (you know, blowing bubble stuff).

It will bubble at the site of the leak.
