Yes no matter what the nay-sayers post all over all the forums etc, sales are great. The Toledo plant is staying busy for sure with both models !

I still don't see them driving down the roads. I've seen only two.
The more I see them, the more I like the back (besides the muffler), but the grille looks horrible when it's chrome.

I live 50 minutes from the best selling Jeep dealership in New Mexico and two hours from the second best selling Jeep dealership in the state. According to my local dealership, they are selling 130 Jeeps per month and a good number of those are the Cherokee. The business manager said the Cherokee is doing well amongst those who don't want to pay a lot to get into a high efficient 4-wheel drive vehicle. I have read articles that suggest that the newness will wear off and the Cherokee sales will start to drop-off. I personally think that high fuel prices and a weakened economy is going to keep the Cherokee afloat.

I hope so, not just because its a Jeep, but because of JOBS.

The KL may not be for everyone, but it does have a lot of the design cues of the very popular GC for WAY less money and does indeed appear to be a "fun, practical, reliable" vehicle...which tends to sell, and the legacy of the name doesn't hurt, I'm sure.

Good for Jeep. Hopefully the new cherokee will get some aftermarket support so it can come out and play with its older siblings on the trails a bit.

There are two other KLs in my neighborhood and I see others in the area. I usually see at least one a day.

Do you guys wave?
Saw one today, still had the dealer plate on the front of it. Attractive female driver. :D

I waved to one, don't think she noticed. I talked with the owner of another.

Cool. Hopefully that owner understands they have Jeep and not a regular ol' car.
How are the maintenance schedules on the KL?

There are a bunch in Northwest Ohio, but then with Jeep right here everyone has some kind of ties to the plant and support Jeep.

There's one right down my street now. :)

It's almost to the point where I CANNOT go ONE day without seeing one here in Detroit.

Seriously.

... the ones parked at work don't count.

There's a bunch on the Island. You see them all over now. I'm still waiting on a few more owners to come here....specifically one who is willing to lift their's. I'm curious to see how it looks and if it's possible. I've seen a few articles claiming that it isn't possible...

With enough money, nothing is impossible. I'm watching ARB. They usually offer replacement springs/shocks.

Supposedly RRO claims the biggest problem is with alignment settings and that it isn't feasible to replace the parts due to labor or something like that. I'll try to find the article.

Found it.

If it's true and the KL is "unliftable" then it's a sad day for Jeep.

Don't pay any attention to RRO,
they wait for others to fully design something then they copy it saying they have been " designing it " for years now.
Its not "unliftable" just going to take some extra parts in the rear is all
Like I've said before its not going to be a 4 inch lift, but more in the 1.5 -2 inches at most . But still enough to get some decent ground clearance and larger tires

Why does the Trailhawk sit higher then? Isn't it lifted? Or just bigger tires?
