I wish I had a pic, but I saw my first USFS KL Cherokee yesterday. I knew they ran the old XJ Cherokees for their fleet back in the day. I think it's cool that the Forest Service is using Jeep Cherokees again.

It wasn't a Trailhawk model. I'm thinking it was a Sport or Latitude 4x4.

I saw it at a fire ecology meeting at the Wharton State Forest in NJ, but the Forest Service employee who was driving it had come all the way from Morgantown, WV. There were a lot of F350's and 2500 Sliverados with Goodyear Duratracs, steel bumpers, winches, and rock sliders in attendance as well.

I was at the meeting for work. I did get to go axle deep through a pine barrens mud hole with my KK that day, though!

I wonder how many will be used for the USFS and if they will be nationwide. Was it painted USFS green? Any interesting accessories?

Can't remember if it was green or brown, but it definitely had the logo. I think it had all terrain tires, but I didn't see andy other accessories besides the usual USFS radio set and antenna.
