We're looking forward to it. Last month I put new wheels and tires on the LJ. Not a huge change. Had 15x10" steelies and 33x12.5" KM2s. Now have 16x8.5" aluminum wheels and 285/75R16 KM2s. Last setup had some vibration issues.

Today I put on a Teraflex HD RockGuard oil pan skid plate. I bought this Jeep used, and it originally had a massive steel engine skid. But it was too heavy and didn't work with my Undercover Fab aluminum transfer case skid / tummy tuck. I bought and still have a UC Fab aluminum engine skid, but the welded support for the previous engine skid interferes.

Otherwise, just need to clean dusty cab and get an oil change and trip check!

Just loaded topo maps of the Ouray area onto our handheld GPS. Sometimes I forget to do that. Had the Jeep checked out on Tuesday. Discovered that my pretty new tie rod ends have some play in them, so I'll have to replace them with better ones before long. Hopefully I'll test the Ham radio before we leave. This particular radio hasn't been used much, though I did test it a little bit earlier this year. We also have a CB.

Anyway, we're pretty close to being ready to head out on Friday. We'll drive to Mexican Hat, UT, where we have a hotel reservation. Saturday morning we'll explore that area a little bit as we've driven through it many times and never had time to explore. So we won't arrive in Ouray until later in the day on Saturday. We'll touch base that evening and plan to go out on Sunday.

Won't be long!
