Just curious if anyone from that area (or closer to Windrock than I am) knows if this year will be muddier or dry? What has the winter/spring/summer been like so far? I don't care either way, though if it's muddy I might get some Super Swampers... :ROTFL:

Rainfall's been about average this year, but it completely depends on the couple weeks before the event. That's why you bring lots of recovery gear and extra shoes and towels.

It has been hot, humid and wet in Southern KY this past Summer.

As far as weather down at Windrock in October? I have no idea. For all I know, it could be 80F or could be snowing then. :-)r

I'm hoping for damp grounds to keep the dust down.

This may turn out to be one of those where we'll be winching as much as wheeling. :JEEPIN:

Hopefully no new flashbacks of where Aaron almost became part of your undercarriage, John! :ROTFL:

that night proved not only what a good spotter Aaron is, but just how quick he is. Scott thought we hit him...it was that close. we're still talking about that "night from hell" and how much fun it was. really gonna miss ya'll this year.

If anyone has a snatch block (I don't), I would suggest bringing it.

my recovery bag has a snatch block, shackle, 6' x 4" tree saver and 30' x 3" strap. if we have to we can use a jacket or blanket for a cable damper.
