You can tape them up, or just tuck them out of the way. I wouldn't cut them.

This. The kit now includes two zip ties to secure the wiring pigtails (one for the FCV and one for the EGR). Tape them off if you wish, but I would not advise cutting any wires!

I bought a cap for the FCV connector, since I still have the EGR installed no need to get a cap for that.

Link to the connector cover.

Thanks for your replies The answer I am looking for has probably been answered several times before but will disconnecting the the wires from the 2 item's cause a fault code and go into limp home mode. I read some were on here that the export ecu models are programmed so if a fault with the egr system, fault code only no cel light. I suppose I could disconnect them and find out? One more thing what about it being street legal with out the egr.

On US models, if your ECU has the stock tune then you will get a check engine light. If you have a GDE tune you will not have a check engine light. In any case you will NOT go into limp mode.

Modifying your emissions system is not legal for vehicles being used on public highways. The kit is sold for off-road use only. http://www.sasquatchparts.com/terms.html

Thanks for your answers, As my jeep used manly for road use I will have to stick to removing the swirl flap and blocking the egr and replace when its due for its emission test.

Ordered.

Have to do glow plugs. Figured might as well do this while it is all apart.

Lacabrera, I've had it fitted to my KJ. It was Mot'd today and passed no problem. The smoke reading was 0.43, and the upper limit is 1.5. I have the Green Diesel full torque ecotune so no CEL or fault code. The smoke reading was only fractionally higher than last year.

Shipping to the U.K. is not a problem. In fact the rate is auto-calculated during check-out.

Yep. Weeks sent it by Fedex. Costs a bit more than USPS, but is generally quicker and more reliable, and they are better at billing for import duty than the post office. I had it fitted by Steve Fagioli at FTE as I don't have the facility (or confidence) to do it myself. The elbow that was removed was full of goop. I'll be fitting a provent device next week to cut out more c**p as well as a new MAP sensor. I've cleaned the old one twice now, so time for a replacement. I'd recommend getting it from IDparts if you do the same - $39 ish including post; cheapest I saw it on ebay UK was £95. I also can't recommend the GDE tune highly enough. one of my better buys!

I'm interested to see what Sasquatch come out with next! Incidentally Lacabrera, weeks' customer service is first class - a pleasure to deal with.

Will order a weeks kit from you soon. Just spent a small fortune on the jeep over the last couple months and the wife is starting to give me a hard time.

First job for me was the MAP sensor full of cr-p. Been searching my self for a provent. They make several different models, The provent 150 seem ok as the plumbing is the same size 20mm. www.inlinefilters.co.uk They sell cheap versions on ebay for around £20 I was tempted but the plumbing is on the small side and might increase pressure in the crankcase and blow seals.

If you want a provent, pm me as I have a provent 200 (unused) going spare. I've fitted adaptors to the inlet and outlet to fit to the vehicle's piping.

So am I right in thinking that if one installed one of these elbows on an off-road only vehicle, one could remove the EGR pipe coming from the exhaust manifold and block that off, remove the EGR cooler, valve, etc., re-route the coolant lines that used to have to make the transit all the way over to that side, and really clean up a fair amount of stuff?

Has anyone seen this done? Are there other tricks to be wary of if such a hypothetical mod were to be done?

I did a search, but couldn't find it. I'd love to hear more about it.

Thats my plan tomorrow when mine comes in. However I was wondering if what peoples thoughts were on plugging the head and getting rid of the Y? Would make for a cleaner install. Ive read people doing both ways just wondering if anyone has had any issues yet one way or the other?

I plugged the head and removed the y pipe. Removed the egr & used the block off plate on the manifold extension. Ran a few thousand miles, no issues. I can't remember what size oil pan drain bolt I used for the head plug, but it is on the board somewhere.
