I felt a cool breeze blowing this morning........
Time to start planning some more trail rides?
I already started the ball rolling w/ a Big Bear run for Sept. 24th and looks like I got the AZ guys rolling on a Tank mtns run for end of Oct.
Nov. brings Calico/Devils loop......

Aynone else putting anything together besides those and the Death Valley run?

How about any beginner trail rides? Anyone?

Jonesing bad for some dirt on my meats........

A cool breeze?? You mean it's 95F instead of the usual 107F?

I'm still itching to play around in Gorman & the Miller Jeep trail. I think Jeff is planning a trip there.
The 4WD practice area there is pretty fun too. - Hey Jeff, as part of the safety program, how about a training day for the beginners?

Ed

Still planning to run the XJ at John Bull on the 24th. That is if I can get this axle in in time.

Heh heh, a cool breeze? It rained here overnight.

I just turned in my loan application at the bank. I should know in a few days how much fuel I'm approved for.

Let's go......

I just got the word back from my wife, I mean my loan officer. I guess I had some bad marks recently on my credit history. Must of been that Tuesday night Angels game against Toronto. I had to have a buddy drive me home. The beers just go down easier at the ball park. Well, since the jeep spent the night in OC, she had to drop me off at the train station really really early in the morning. She was not happy about that. OK OK. Long story short, I got approved for a Big Bear run. Looking at going up this weekend. 27 or 28th I'm kind of new to the 4x4 thing, so nothing really big. Just going to head up there and cruse around. A get the blank out of town trip for a afternoon. But there is courage in numbers, so if someone wants to help me out, I'll try anything once.

What about a moderate run up Last Chance Cyn ? say...this weekend ?

Bars and skids are a good idea for this one, but if your carefull you can make it with just a lift

Well here is the problem.
#1. The KJ is a 4x2,
#2. The wife would NEVER let me take her beloved Jeep out of the garage must less on a unsupervised trip out of town.

So you get me and the TJ. (and maybe the dog) I know, I know. "stupid TJ's" No mods on the TJ yet. Just upped one size on the tires. (I feel black listed. sniff sniff) I keep telling the wife I want a KJ to, but something about to much $$ for the new jeep payments. I told her she should get a second job. That didn't go over to well. This marriage thing is hard.

Is Last Chance Canyon still open to off-roaders?

I'm good for either day.

So that's 2 votes for Sunday, and 1 for Saturday.

I can vote twice right?
