So .. looks like the plan is this.

I'll go on up the 55N to meet Mark at Chevron gas station off of Main st. exit. Then we'll go on to 15, possibly meeting Jason. Afterwards we'll go up to meet Annette off 395 at Burger King (do they open that early?).

Of course, this is just a summary of Mark's email. He'll post corrections if any.

Dirty, you have hit it on the $$. We have the OC, IE and the HD (high desert for Annette) covered. Who else is going to make it? Any one from South County or SD heading up this way?

Sorry Guys and Gals, I wont be able to make this run. It just worked out that I am not in any shape vehicle wise to make any runs for a bit. I would of loved to come out and play, and clear my head from the weeks past. I hope you all have a great time and give me a call if you guys need anything while your out! Be safe and enjoy what this trail has to offer.

Hey Jeff the marker to the trail head is the 50 gal. drum marked Burro Schmidt Tunnell just off Garlock Road. 7 miles from the 14 if I remember corectly. If you want I can meet all of you in the morning and lead you to the trail head and see you on our way. Call me if this will be do able for you. you have my number!

Brian

You're welcome to sit in my Jeep. I'll be going with my 3 year old son and the front passenger seat is available. I'll expect you to take some cool pics for us, though :D

Hey Brian,
Maybe we can do another run there in a couple of weeks. I wanted to do this run as well, but it's my sons birthday, so I'll be spending it with Snoopy.

I think there will be a few people who wouldn't mind going again.

I'm gonna have to skip this one too, but might be up for one in a couple weeks also. Been wanting to do it for a while. Sure would be nice if it would cool off a bit for the next ride....getting dang tired of the heat...stupid desert.

Man, that electric bill is killing me.
I don't know why Cathy want's to keep the AC at 78. I tell her to leave at at 105 and wear cool clothes.

Hey John, we should come up with a good date to do this run soon.
Le me know....

Thanks for the offers guys, but I have both my boys this weekend and I have company coming later in the afternoon. I would definately be interested in a run thru here in a couple of weeks. Maybe a run thru the panamints would be in order. I'll check my schedule and see what dates are good for me. Enjoy.

Does anybody have a place we can host the 640x480 and full-sized photos? Mine are not big, 1600x1200 but I think Mark and Jason's photos will be significantly larger.

I'll upload what I have as soon as the details are worked out. I have made small photos for the trail updates, and will be making the larger sizes available in a zip/tar file for you.

Thanks for sharing, guys :)

E-mail it to me. I'll resize it to 72 dpi and photoshop all the incriminating evidence against me out and e-mail it back to you. I have a good place to hoast too.

I'm going to post more photos in a "Tails from the trail" report hopefully later tonight. I'm still working on my "honey do list" right now.
