Looking to run up to Big Bear on the 30th to run Crafts Peak Trail. Rated as a moderate and not quite as tough as the last trail we did which was Onyx summit. It has a couple obstacles but KJ doable. Mike from the Big Bear club will be our guide again.

The plan right now is to meet at 0900
More info:
"about a 1/2 mile east of Running Springs on the way to Big Bear"

Meeting Spot
THE DEPOT AT DEEP CREEK
32755 HWY 18
RUNNING SPRINGS CA 92382

0900

Be there! :D
Map of area, meet between Running Springs and Arrowbear.
Green Valley Lake and Hwy 18

This will be a day run that will consume a few hours and might lead into doing another optional trail afterwards.

Please post here if interested.

No idea. MIke, the guy that is leading, said the turn off near 18 and Green Lake would work fine. I have no idea where the trail head is relation to that but I am guessing it is close.

Let me talk to the wife. I'm on a mission to ship some rims to Australia that weekend.

I'm actually going to be in town that weekend so I'll finally be able to meet the L.O.S.T. crew. I'll also finally have an excuse to stop being lazy and actually send in (or hand in, in this case) my app and dues.

I'm going to try and make this run. We are kinda short of manpower due to summer vacations.

I am double checking the calendar tonight.

I am trying to get at least my wife's TJ out for this. So much is going on right now and I have 5 wheeling trips planned between now and the end of Aug!

Won't be able to make the run that day; we're doing a major work project on 2N17X, which if you remember is a connecting trail on the LOST KJ West Adopt A Trail, 2N33. We'll be blocking off some of the illegal bypasses using old telephone poles, and some other work. There'll be a bunch of people with power jackhammers, diggers, etc.

If you guys get done early, you may want to drop by and see what's going on. 2N17X is rated difficult, and is, but it's certainly doable by a set up KJ. In any case, have fun you guys! :)

A reminder for the Sat. Crafts Peak run. Lets meet at the Valero gas station on Hwy. 18 in Arrowbear at 9:00 AM - the station is just east of Running Springs about 1/2 mile as you head toward Big Bear. The station is on the right side. They have a Am Pm style snack shop there if anyone is interested. We can decide on a second trail to run once we meet. If you need more directions let me know.

Look forward to seeing you there.
Mike (trail leader)

PLEASE PM ME, JJ, for MY CELL #
