Post subject:  TOY RUN, CANCELLED! TRAIL CLOSED!

SORRY folks but the Baldy Mesa trail we have done every year is closed for construction of the train tressel.

I tried to coordinate doing a different trail but we had time issues to deal with in meeting up w/ the angel tree folks and it just wasn't going to work out well doing a different trail.

Please take this opportunity to donate a toy to your local Toys-For-Tots program to help a child in your local community.

Thanks to those that were working behind the scenes with me to try and figure it out. I am upset that I couldn't work it out but we tried.

JJ

That sounds like it might be a lot of fun. I 'll see about making a family outing out of it .

Last chance email going out this weekend about this event.

I am going to say we need at least 10 rigs to commit to being there or I don't want to risk the embarassment we went through last year.

I would like email replys if you will Ink it in and commit to making the trip to do this. Thanks.

At this point I am not even sure I can make it yet as work is kicking my butt right now and I may end up having to work the next several weekends except for the holiday weekends. Lucky me.

Post subject:  How Many Rigs

How many rigs are expected to attend the run so far? I would still like to attend and find out about becoming an official member.

So far it only looks like 7-8 total including you. I sent out an email to our current members looking for a firm commitment and so far I only have one reply to that email. I do not want to commit us to this event w/ less than 10 total as last year it didn't work out very well w/ only a few showing up. I am not even sure that I can attend due to a new job that might have me working some over time in the coming weekends.

Anyhow, If this event doesn't work out, there will be other stuff coming up where you can meet the group. :)

Please do and tell anyone and everyone.

It looks like this is a GO! $15 ++ toy or gift card to place like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.

I am not 100% sure I will be there but there are folks here that know the trail and what to do. I will confirm w/ them that they will be there.

Hey JJ, not sure what the exact status of the trail is but the SBNF site lists the 3N21 as being closed. Just wanted to make sure there was an alternate plan to get to the 3N24.

UGH! I never thought of trail closures in this area. I am not sure of an alternate..... this might throw a wrench in the plans.... :?

Let me see what I can figure out. Stay tuned.

Toy Run cancelled due to closure of Baldy Mesa trail and other issues. Please try to donate a toy to your local Toys-For-Tots or other local charity.

Thanks, John
