Look at all that SNOW!!!! Man I want to get up there. Can't go today, but working on next Saturday the 15th. Just to look around and see what damage the fires did and what not. Maybe just a cruse down 3n16. Should be some good mud.

Had a lot of fun yesterday. I'll get pics up this evening when I get home. It was way to late when we got off the mountain last nite (stuck behind all the cars doing 15 MPH on their chains. Biggest kick I got was from seeing three big bad H2's wih chains on...

Any way the wife was paranoid about the snow so I wasn't allowed to take Clarks grade up this time. Maybe next weekend, she has duty so It will be me and the boys if we head up. The police had a roadblock making sure that everyone had chains one, or if you were 4 wheel drive with snow rated tires ( :D ) that you were carring them. I saw a couple of wranglers turned back because they weren't carying them. headed up the mountian on the 38 and around to fawnskin and hit the Coxey Truck Trail (3N14) to Delamar Mt. Rd. (3N12), cut off at Poligue Canyon Rd (2N71) where we peaked at around 7,700', and then headed back to the 38 on the 2N09. Snow averaged about 5-8". Short trip just a couple of hours out on the trails, saw alot of other wheelers out. Great day.

Burchie,
The 3N16 is closed still from Holcomb Creek Corssing (3N93) to Green Valley Lake Rd.

I picked up a current list yesterday from the Mill Creek Ranger Station. Will create a new post for anyone interested.

We did an adopt-a-trail at Gold Mtn on Sunday it was a nice day with about 12" to 18" of snow. It was deep and icy, it took most of us using lockers to climb Gold Mtn.

It was a blast. We got another dusting last night, and we should see more next weekend :) If you come up let me know, we;ll try to go. Maybe we will ready to break in JJ's SFA this weekend!

You guys are so frigging lucky to have all that snow and mountains....
Last Year when I visited All J the weekend before they moved in, I took the drive from colton up to Big Bear and there was a bit snow but the drive is just plain amazing. I can just imagine that covered in snow - WOW!

Ya.... I know... a move west not gonna happen :(
