I would like to thank those that showed up for Our adopt-a-trail run today. We had 8 members show up along with 3 representatives from the forest service, two of them w/ chainsaws. we spent some quality time clearing some overgrown blind corners of brush, cutting out some sections of exposed pipe, replacing a couple trail signs and then Kelly and I ran a portion of the bypass to GPS it so it can be officially added to the trail maps/inventory, etc. I am really looking forward to getting back up there to make some more improvements and next time I think we will make a bigger deal about it and perhaps coincide it with a camping trip or something.

The now official bypasses kick the level up a bit and definately make it more fun. there are a few nice hill climbs and some granite sections that are a challenge. After finishing up w/ the work my son and I ran the whole by pass portion of the trail and had a good time doing so.

I really hope we can get some more participation in the future as there is still a lot of work to do and the forest service could use our help.

Yeah sorry you couldn't make it Ed. We had to eat all the cake w/out you.
We had a tree stand in while we sang and It seemed to enjoy it.

Happy B-day! :D

Update to the Thank You thread.
Travis Mason, Orrin Wyatt, and Mike Cross were the rangers that were with us on Saturday during the work day. Great folks that I definately enjoyed working with and look forward to working with again in the future.
