Good and long and boring.....cept the part about Johnson Valley which was a real eye opener. It may be a while before they make any decisions and/or acquire the area but the loss would be HUGE! If JV is lost in this battle we can all expect huge increases of OHV use in other areas which just might turn some places (Big Bear) into parking lots of rigs trying to wheel. Rest of the meeting was usual stuff like complaints about the new In Gear bi-monthly publication. Not as good, large or informative as teh old version and costlier too. CA4WDC is in trouble money wise and showing a big defecit this year which will equal budget cuts and belt tightening. To make matters worse, event registrations are down from previous years and not expected to get any better. The lagging economy is really starting to show up in our hobby. The Bear Valley 4 Wheelers club (Big Bear area, Includes our friends at All J Products!) was voted in as an officially recognized club. Congrats! Can't recall much else of interest. If you have any questions on the meeting, etc. PLMK. |
