Anyone have any great ideas for a December run and party? How about something fairly easy that will get us to a cool destination where we can do dinner as a group or something? Anyone have any ideas?

All I care is that it includes some sort of wheeling so I can get at least one trip in that month.....gotta have my fill of dirt!!

Maybe something with the Nor-Cal bunch. It'd be good to see them too. Is there anything between us and them where can meet, wheel, and visit?

Vegas baby.....

But... I think Vegas is hard to get to for the No Cal people. They have to come down to Bakersfield, cross over on the 58 and up the 15.

Is this right Nan?

I vote Vegas (ha ha). There was talk of Death Valley a while ago. . . If you guys want to do a Vegas run I could probably put together a dinner party at one of my restaurants. Early December would be best. Logandale would be a lot of fun but its over an hour to the north of Vegas proper. We could do Potato Ridge from the Pahrump side over to Red Rock and then head to dinner from there. Just an idea 8) .

I highly recommend his restaurants. My wife and I ate at the Green Valley one and it was great.

I am the Operating Partner for The Melting Pot Restaurants in Vegas (technically an owner but I hold so few shares that they aren't really worth anything  ). They are an upscale casual fondue restaurant. Here's a link if you are unfamiliar with the concept: http://www.meltingpot.com (click on the little floating fondue pots to get a description of the some of the things we offer). My financial partner lives in Phoenix (Queen Creek to be exact) and I am the guy on the ground here keeping the doors open and the guests smiling. I could probably work out a deal for cost or close to it if you guys decide to head this way.

Got any pull at the one located in Buffalo Grove, IL? My boyfriend and I go there about once a month and absolutely love it!

Yep, that's how we roll. The Sacramento are folks may have a different route though. It's long but easy. I will so be watching this thread to see when this goes down.......

As if Anywhere w/in a 10 hour drive is far for you!

I am really liking the sounds of this event. It certainly would be a nice change for that time of year. A little more work, info & details and I think we might be nailing this event down!

I have met and exchanged niceties with the owner. Unfortunately that probably doesn't give me any influence at his place  .

Hmmm, I might just have to think about this one. I work four 10 hour days a week now which means I have three day weekends, perfect for a quick getaway to Vegas
