Well even with a little confusion this was a neat trip. This area of the Sequioa NF is a great place to visit.
The Sherman trail is a nice run, the only drawback is it wasn't all that tough, but very scenic. Sherman peak is at 9909ft.
Word has it that Burchie came up the night before and moved all the rocks off the trail - ya know it seemed rougher the last time I ran it.
But combined with another trail or two makes for a good weekend event.

Click on the link below for slideshow of the trail.

Fun trail and Great area. YOu can't go wrong being up in the trees on a mountain. Beats the desert any time!

Thanks Mike for setting this trip up. I am really looking forward to more explorations up there!

Mike really put together a fun trip, even though I resorted to being a ride-along. Stupid a-arm broke 2 miles into the trail. 3rd one in twelve months. Ordered the Gen 4.5 today. Many thanks to JJ for letting me borrow his spare a-arm and Roy with the help in putting everything back together, but the real lifesaver was Mrs. JJ who delivered the parts to the trailhead. All things considered, I had a great time. I am looking forward to the next outing.
