Hey Taz, I'm just getting around to reading this. I am glad you had a good time and found the trail okay. I have got to get a TJ someday! I love the Liberty for my daily driver but would really enjoy one of those for trails.

Xodius - I bought a cheap 12V air compressor from HF for a temporary solution to airing back up. Here's a link to the one I got: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=93186

This little guy works great. I don't know how long it will last (I have used it 6 times or so), I will probably put in a "power tank" of some sort eventually, but this works for now. Just thought I would share :D .

hehe, I was checking that unit out on HF actually. I was wondering what it would take to remove the clamps and wire it directly to the battery. I dont want to mess with clamping it on and off all the time when I am using it that is.

It would be easy enough to wire up with a block fuse directly to the battery. I don't think you would find room under the hood for it though. Another thing that I thought of was to wire a 12V plug (cigarette lighter type of thingy) to the end. Then you could plug it in the front outlet to do the front and the back outlet to do the back. I just don't know how much amperage the thing draws so you might blow fuses that way. The cord and hose is long enough that you can reach all four tires without having to take it off of the battery. They have them at the store on Decatur and Trop. I am a little leery of stuff that I buy there. I have had some things last forever and other stuff that broke after a couple of uses. Their tools are guaranteed for life now, but this unit doesn't fall into that catagory. I have been happy with it so far and if it lasts a dozen more uses it will be worth it. I will eventually set up and on board air system. My CO2 supplier can set me up with a "mother tank" that will refill the smaller bottles. He is doing it as a favor for me so I can't push him on it. He's not supposed to do it for liability reasons so I think he is kind of dragging his heels on it. When it does happen though I will be able to refill everyone's tanks.

I have been having a blast out here wheeling so far. I ran some trails down around Nelson over the last couple of day. Nice views, one trail went down to the river, kind of fun.

Oh and I also use a little cheap compressor for the Liberty, but man it almost workas as good as my Quickair II at a fraction of the cost. These are also around $60.00 at pepboys

I have found you don't have to spend a ton of money to get your air. This one conects to the battery instead on the lighter and does reach all the tires. Either option (HF or PB) will work fine. The Libby tires don't take much time at all to air up.

I'll bring my Pep Boys special and I am sure Kirk will have his tomorrow, that way you can check them out. Either one is going to work well for what you need.
