Oh come on you guys, stop your whining. I can say this cuz I was there, and I think we all did good. We stuck together, and got through it and we all made it home. Some of us in more then one piece, but the point is we pooled our resourses and got the job done. And that's what we do as friends and as a club.
We learned from this and now we know what we should be carrying with us and next time we'll be better prepared.
When ya'll get ready, we'll do it again.
THATS WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT...RIGHT THERE BUDDY.
NICELY PUT ANNETTE.
I understand that the JB Weld came in handy ...but a couple of quarts of gear lube and a pump would have helped out...(mental note folks....). You guys had your hi-lift and some straps , bargin basement recovery gear might not be what you want to bring ...right ...perfect example of to late to get it when you need it. Couple of straps and a couple of shackels never hurt anyone (put them in your bag). I think you guys did a great job and hung tuff together ! Get a bag or an Action Packer (rubbermaid) and fill it up with the stuff you wished you had.
If someone would have gotten hurt (god forbid)...what was the phone number to the nearest ranger/sheriff's station...wheres the nearest hosptial...whats the number....who had a 1st Aid kit...? how good was it...? How could you have described where you were for the helicopter lifeflight.
Who knew CPR ? (theres a class this weekend...sign up!!)
This is a valuable example of what can happen and how teamwork and preperation can really save your bacon. Once again guys and gals...great job taking care of eachother.
Sure glad you made it out in one piece Mark......Sorry about your Jeep
