I am working on an multi-day adventure of sorts that will lead a group of rigs across the entire San Berdoo mtn range starting from near the 15 fwy and ending up in Johnson Valley area.

This trip will include camping on the trail, quite a bit of scenic easy wheeling but will also include tougher trails like Deep Creek, John Bull, Holcomb Creek (if available), Gold Mtn, Heartbreak Ridge, and others.

Rigs and drivers will be challenged and must be self sufficient to include spare parts, tools and equipment for such a long journey across the mountains.

This run will be in the Fall or Spring depending on interest and planning.

So who is up for it? Come on, you know you wanna! :D

This is a very cool idea, and i am interested, however i need rock rails and a modified trans skid (was thinking of getting a buddy to wield some plates on the mopar unit) and possably a roof rack for extra fuel :P

I've never wheeled with lost and i've never done any of the northern trails (as in not in sd/imperial county). .

We will be wheeling with you folks one of these days :P

Yeah it is about time you get up to BB w/ us to wheel!

Just remember IFS KJ folks, some of these trails are about as tough as you will ever see so I would suggest spare parts. I will have some IFS parts available for the trip but self sufficiency is a good idea for this much wheeling. Also, at least one locker will be mandatory.

Ed, IIRC, I have 3 stock upper arms right now.

I will verify my inventory though.

I have cv axles, front housing, upper & lower arms, rear axle shafts, steering rack and various other odds and ends. I think we would be covered for most failures that would leave a person stranded. I DO very much want to see a couple IFS KJ's on a trip like this so these parts will be available. Also, I believe that ALL J's still has a stock pile of parts that would be easily available in Big Bear for anyone that has a problem. Fixing stuff shouldn't be an issue and nobody should be afraid of this discussion. I do want folks to know up front that stuff could happen and to be ready for it if you go.

btw, hoping to have a trail welder available too for the trip. (hoping to Never need it though)

Lets do something awesome and make this trip happen.

(I'm working on some fun/cool stuff to go along w/ this trip)
