Post subject:  What I did Christmas Eve

Here's some photos of what I did Christmas Eve. I was on my way out to Las Vegas (family thing) on the motorbike and had arranged with a friend to meet me at Primm, NV.

I parked the bike and Andy (my friend who lives in Vegas) picked me up in his Jeep. We headed south on the I-15 to Yates Well Rd. We exited and headed north on a dirt road to the Colosseum Mine.

This is a strip mine pit that was worked off/on for 120 years ceasing in mid-92 which produced gold/silver. The mine at the widest point at the top is approximately 1600' wide and about 750' deep (by EPA records). At the bottom is a beautiful blue green pool covering about 3 acres.

I had a good time wandering around. It's always great to get out and see things even if you just ride along. Enjoy the photos.

It would be a cool area to wander around. Better than the last time because of the bigger windshield and having a radio but she could use a few more upgrades to make it even nicer.
