3rd Annual Calico run Thursday and Friday Nov 24th and 25th

Trail is rated at 4 Rocks

This also allows folks to travel back home on Sat instead of the Sunday after Thankgiving...

OK guys we are going to set the dates for Calico so that nanette and a few others can go ahead and request time off for this event. In the past we have always run gone to the Ghost Town on Thanksgiving day and then done a run the next...

JJ came up with a very cool idea to do a run at Calico on Thanksgiving Day and then go do another trail we know of close by the next. And not even go to the Ghost Town.. Sounds good to me. I am open on this.

We can still plan to get together Thanksgiving night and all go out to eat... We know the place. Let us know what your thoughts are on this.

Keep in mind...Calico can be a tough trail if not setup for it. Full skids, Boulder Bars are a must. Lockers really help. I have taken an open diff KJ through this trail but it was a lot of work. You MUST pay attention at Calico or the rocks will take advantage of your bumpers and fenders for dang sure. We will help to spot anyone that needs help on this trail but we can not promiss that you will not get a dent or scratch on this trail... Later...Clint

I'm in both days.

What's a Devil's loop?

Clint, I think you should at least require a lift, full armor, and as a minimum, an LSD. I did it last year with stock SRAs but with all the other equipment and consider myself lucky I only needed one strapping and didn't blow a tire or two.

Just keep in mind guys...the Calico trails have some of the sharpest rocks arounf=d and they love to eat tires. Boulder Bars and skids plates are a must and lockers help. Do not do this trail unless you know what you are getting into to. it is a lot of fun and if you are verycareful and pay attention... you will not have any problems at all. Later...Clint

Nanette, you'll do fine as long as you go around those rocks instead of over them... :D

And I guaranty your passenger will get a lot of pictures since passengers tend to not be in the car a lot on this run.

Hey Guys, I am not trying to scare anyone away from this run because we will help as much as possible... But just be sure that you understand what trail this is, the damage that you could do there, and things like that. Other than that is is just another great day out on the trail with a bunch of very cool folks. later...Clint

I"m going to skip this run, just not enough rocks or obstructions to keep me interested.

Obstruct
Quote:
1.To interfere with the progress of: bog (down), encumber, hinder, hold back, impede. Idiom get in the way of. 2. To stop or prevent passage of: bar, block, dam, hamper,
snag, stop, clog, barrier.

Yep, just not enough of those.

Cheese, heck. Dinner at Bun Boy will do the job...plus you'll have enough gas to make it to Philadelphia.
