OK guys, I just go off the phone with Quinn and he sadi we could have another lift party...Now really that is very funny seeing they just installed a new lift in the shop... But anyway... I have a couple of new guys that were asking if we could do another lift party. I was thinking maybe Aug/Sept time frame. Anyone have mods that need to be done. Pre-Calico mods...hehehe later...Clint

I'll be there to give a hand. I need a boulder bar for my '05 which is not ready yet (hint hint!).

Barbecue this time around?

ah man, we were thinking of a 2" spacer lift. guess i gotta call quinn and find out more about it. another way for me to spend money.....oh yeah and we're thinking of those diff rings too.....money--flying--away!

just a note, we'll be gone sept 14th to 20th for the SDSU-OSU football game (scott's work) and for scott to visit his peeps in OH

and, it would be great to have everything done in time for that Rubi run in DV in november. (yes, we're only a sport but we're going to tag along with the rubi's)

Well I am not going to be able to go on the Calico Turkey run, is this lift party still open if not going?

I am not registered with KJ West yet, but going to, need to put the stuff into a envelope and send it.

I am in school with the Navy down in San Diego, (IDC School for any Sailors or Marines) and not sure what my schedule is going to be like at that time.

But anyways I would be looking to get either the BDS lift kit or go for Rusty's kit, still need to look into it right now, and possibly some boulder bars if money to spare.

So if that dates come out and I can squeeze in a weekend off from studying I would like to come up and participate.

Will

Just bought a jack from Sears, the 3-ton one with long arm and 20" lifting range. Nice, but it's so very heavy it's not funny :) Did I go overboard? There are lighter units like Torin aluminum, but that one has 4000lbs maximum load and only lifts about 14.75" --- I had one that lifted 15" (before I exchanged it) and it wasn't enough to lift the front of my KJ completely for tire change. Maybe it was where I placed it (I later jacked it up at the control arm, but didn't think that was a hot idea).

Not a problem Will. You can even join at the lift party if you like. But you do have to be a club member to have done to your jeep at one of the lift parties. So just come on up and join the club and join in on all the fun. Later...Clint

man some times you just have a jack that is heavy or tall enough. I say the big heavy one will work great for just keeping in the garage. Later...Clint

I’d like to install a front locker, …but I’m not sure yet, all depends if I can rescheduled some work activities once you pick the date for the Lift Party

KJWILLY:

The lift parties have all been on Saturday's in the past...It's a good bet that this one will be also. I would expect we'll hear something soon about the date.
