Post subject:  AZ Run end of Oct?
Anyone interested in an End of October Tank Mtns/AZ run?

I will be there weekend of 28th-30th and want to run one or more of the Tank Mtn trails. Hopefully some of the AZ guys will be interested, I am sure at least one or them will be.

Without going through the effort of getting a map out or (gasp) going to another site to look it up...what part of AZ is this? We have some friends in Phoenix we've been meaning to visit. :D

I'm in. We should check towards the end of the summer to see about the fire damage. It's like wheeling on the surface of the moon after a fire.

On a side note. Did you receive a envelop from me with all my info? I know you are busy, just checking to make sure it didn't lost in the mail.

Post subject:  Test run done
We did our test run Sunday in the Tanks. It was alot of work to get Vern through Firebird and the KJ performed flawlessly just like i expected. I posted a short trip report in the AZ section and Vern posted up some pics. Full armor a lift and traction devices would be recomended for at least Firebird. It was a blast and you can not pick a better time than the end of October. it will be beautiful then. Hope to see you all then.

What day is halloween. And what day are we talking about doing the run. I might be back out in Carefree the week of the 22nd or the 29th. I can hit the trail either on the way in, or the way out of town.

Halloween is on Monday. The run is on Saturday the 29th. I will be driving in on the 28th, Friday and leaving on Monday the 31st. (or that is the plan right now, subject to change due to kids school)
