Hi everyone.
Today was a very terrible and sad day for me. I was on my way down the 57 fwy at the 10 split were I lost control of Tilli and I ended up rolling her in the dirt median. I'm fine, on the other hand Tilli is not so good. Because of the roof damage my insurance company will totalling out the Jeep. I consider myself very lucky to have walked away from a 70mph roll over. I can't say enough on how well the KJ held up. It crumpled where it was suppose to and held up in all the right places.
And yes, I will be buying another Jeep, I'm just not sure what it will be yet.
I don't have any pictures yet, but when I go say my goodbyes I'll get a couple and post them.

Thanks to everyone for all your support, and kind words. Tilli will be greatly missed.

Annette

RIP Tilli

We all know how much MsTilli meant to you but the important thing is that YOU are well. Whatever you get be sure to enjoy it as much as you enjoyed Tilli.

So sorry to hear about your Jeep, but so happy to hear that you're ok. So if she died on the median, at least her last moments were on dirt?

I'm glad to hear you're OK.
I'm also happy to hear that you rolled at freeway speeds and walked away from it. Makes me feel better about the safety of the KJ.

How did it happen?

Oh my god  It was just two days ago when I last saw you and now this. I'm glad you're OK though. Tough luck, first the lady in the quad ... man, take it easy for a while :D

Hey, do you have any parts for Tilli that you didn't notify the insurance company? You'll probably want to strip them since they might not give you the value of those items. Just a thought. If you need help stripping Tilli, call me and I'll be there in a heartbeat.

Question: I went for one of those "debt cancellation" deal when I bought dirtykj. It was supposed to pay the remainder of any payment I owe DC. So, if I should find myself in this situation, what happens with respect to the debt cancellation and insurance? Who pays what? And, will I get any money from anybody, or replacement car?

It's great you made it through unscathed! Seems like the KJ is capable of doing its job.

I hope you're able to get something good to wheel with soon. You may already know, but depending on your insurance company, they may try to get you to accept wholesale value. This is not an absolute; you don't have to accept that, though they may try to tell you so. Hang in there for retail including extras so you can get a reasonable replacement. Good Luck!

If you'd like to go to training day on the 25th, you're sure welcome to come along and use my Jeep.

one small consolation is that you can get a new tilli and keep the license plate. a neighbor down the street from me had her car totaled in front of her house by a drunk driver and she put her personal plates on her new car.

can't wait to see Tilli 2!

YIKES!

Dang she held up well, Thank goodness! The roof design in the KJ looks pretty strong. All the roll overs I have seen pics of the pilars and outer roof structure is usually still solid looking, only the sheet metal in between has collapsed.

Funny that the right rear window held together under that KJ WEST sticker.

You know ... that's one of the reasons I bought a KJ. I've seen pics of mishaps in a KJ and the stories about somebody rearending a KJ, etc. and it seems to me like the thing is built like a tank.

I'm glad my wife drives one of these with the kids inside :D
