Today before my flight, i had a conversation with one of our riggers who has been to the Anza Borrego Desert a couple of times. he has a stock 4-runner with one size larger tires on it. he said that he would definately be interested in going wheeling, and since he knows where to go... I thought that maybe that would be a good place to go. Only thing i'm worried about is whether or not it is going to be too hot. If anyone has any better ideas of where to go, let me know. I'm wanting to get a roster, and possibly start getting it figured out where we want to meet and whatnot. Also, i'd like to know if anyone would like to barbeque or not. We definately have to go before willy gets transferred to VA. I'll see if i can find some more people that want to go. |

the average high for june 4th in borrego springs is 99 degrees. we went out in mid-may last year at like the last weekend suitable before it was just way too hot and it was hot when we went. as long as you stay inside with the AC on you'll be find but once you get out of the car all the moisture will be sucked out of your body. ps--watch out for the africanized honey bees, they were all over last year and even worked their way into our jeep to get at me. apparently i smell very good or very threatening to them |
