hi lost So Cal folks. please recommend mechanics who are at least familiar with the CRD liberty. Our guys are doing their best but every time they fix one thing its another thing that breaks. any suggestions are welcome. we used to go to the dealer but they closed the dealer near us. We are in West LA but willing to travel for a decent honest mechanic.

I know this is a sort of old thread, but there's a whole thread with a list of 100+ mechanics int he US and Canada that people here have endorsed. It's a big list, also some of the members here are traveling mechanics that can come to you and do things (like the timing belt).

As far as other basic maintenance, all of the howto's can be found here, and most all of them are easy enough to do on your own in your driveway.

Thanks,
T

I wholeheartedly endorse Bud's Diesel in Orange County. I searched high and low in LA and I couldn't find anyone. It's a drive down to OC, but worth it.
