I've asked this with NorCal, but I'll also ask with KJWest: who's the best shop for a ballistic install on the ARB locker, SoCal or NorCal? Thx! |

Hey Ben, I had mine installed by...I wanna say it's 4West in Corona. But call Quinn or Heather at All J and they can help you out too. I called around to a few different shops when I got ready to to mine and none of them had a clue to what a KJ was except for the place I went. Hope this kinda helps ya out. |

Thanks Annette. I'll field more rec's too. Not being too mechanical, reliability is an asset for me. Besides wanting to drive Poison Spider myself, my Beveridge Mine hike last year shows my typical dilemma being open diff. Arrived on Snowflake Mine road about 90 minutes before sundown and started to move boulders (biggest a haybale) and work the very exposed 0.2 mile traverse cobbled with talus. Hopped in and made the first 100 feet but lost traction on the diagonals. Rather that fix that obstacle and move on in the dark to find the next, decided to get up an hour earlier the next morning to walk an extra mile. With a locker, we could have crossed in 2 minutes and continued higher to the road end. |
