Is there anyone who didn't get in on the last buy that is interested? I'll be getting some soon regardless, but thought if a few of us got together we could knock a couple of duckets off the price.

Previously, I'd also read some discussion on here about a skid buy from CRS. What's the plan? I'm ready.

I know Andy made an additional set of rails. They were intended for his father-in-law, but he still might have a set laying around the shop. As far as the skids go, tell him you are with LOST and he will give you a good deal. I have the engine skid from Skid Row and it took a couple of good beatings on our last outing to Uwharrie.

Good call Allen...he might accidentally have that extra set still laying there at the shop. You should call him and ask about those Mutt.

Richard and I were dream-talking about getting CRS to build us an ultimate skid plate/tub in a thread. Then Andy dropped in and said...

Hey guys,
This is Andy from CRS......I have been in and out of here over the past few years but have started checking back on here recently.

I am glad I got to meet with everyone....no prob on picking up lunch. We get the "super special" emplyee discount because we are there all the time.

Glad everyone is happy and if any of you are interested in Skids let me know. I would be willing ot put a group buy on some skid row stuff together for you without a problem.

Give us a shout if we can help with anything and I will try to check back in.

Thanks again
Andy

So I don't think they're making any plates, but they can get the Skiw Row plates.

I think you should post a CRS Rockrail group buy request in the main 4X4 section. Link everyone over to my old thread so they can see the picts too. I think there are a lot of people on this forum that would buy these rails that didn't get in on the first buy because they didn't know about it.

He gave me a smoking deal, I'm very happy and impressed with the quality of service.

I'm getting the rock rails (installed) and also the skids for less than other places wanted for just the skids!

The only problem is coordinating our schedules!

I couldn't agree more. What I like most about not only him, but his entire crew is that they are not "rock snobs" where they talk down to people who dont know as much about the sport as they do.

BTW, "rock snobs" is a trademark of Skid Mark Racing (me)
Any use that has not been authorized by said company is subject to wet noodle beatings and wet willies from mutt's kids.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything from Carolina Rock Shop. They have had $1300 of my money for over three months. Phone calls do not get returned and I don't have any parts in my possession. They have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Buyer beware.

It is too bad that Mutt is not giving you the entire story. His Rock rails and 3 skid plates (minus one that is the cause of this issue) have been sitting here since 2 days after his order(6/19/06 is when he was charged for the order). I told him when he placed his order that skid row had the engine skid in stock (although as I discussed with him before, this one skid plate that has been on backorder from Skid Row even though they originally told me it was in stock). I called him about it a week ago friday and he did not return the call. I was calling to tell him that Rick at Skidrow told me that it would be another 5 weeks and I wanted to see if he wanted a refund or to keep waiting(as of yet each and every time we talk he says he wants to keep waiting). I have been fighting with Skid Row about this and have left him messages that he does not respond to. I spoke with his wife today again and explained what I had left the message about over a week ago that he never responded to.

Not a big deal, the entire time I have been more than willing to refund the $$ for the one skid that has been on backorder. I have had all the rest of their stuff here since he placed his order.

The rock rails are definitely ready and have been ready the entire time. The rest of the skidplates have been here as well. Unfortunately Skid Row is still backordered after they originally told me they had one in stock. Again, I have been more than willing to refund this money to him at any point but he keeps wanting to wait on the single skid to pick up any of the order.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me. I have been out of town since thursday at my little brother's wedding and I have not been able to deal with phone calls or internet stuff since then.

Here is the link to my response on the NC4x4 board.
