We've got some ongoing flooding, but my house is nice and dry. My buddies house has water up to the front step and it's still rising. Tide should be going out soon so the water should start to receed.

Yeah, I went out Main st. Ext. last night and was fording above my rock rails, so I figure it was about twenty inches. Tried to go down Creek Rd. and was in to my headlights before I backed out because it was still getting deeper.

I like driving right after Cat 5's.

Yeah.. I think it would be cool.. Except for all the trees laying around... LOL.. Which is another reason to get a winch.. :D
At the start of every hurricane season.. You hear the horror stories of Hugo here in Charleston... And from the pics I have seen.. It was pretty nasty...

That crazy Ernesto dropped a ton of rain on VA Beach! We sneaked away with no flooding that hit the house though. Just some yard that looked like pond.

Must be nice being able to get into it up to the headlights with no problems. All I did was drive to work in the rain on Friday and now the engine fan won't shut off. I had this same problem last October after the OBX run. Unfortunately for me, my 3/36 warranty is long gone and it's been more than 12k miles since this problem was fixed. So, I've got to let Casey Jeep grab me by the neck and bend me over the barrel so that I can get it fixed. At least they're not as bad as Pomoco Jeep. Casey might actually give me a hug afterwards, Pomoco was wanting to give it to me dry

....................and it's 36" to the bottom of my headlights!

I've got the idler or the a/c clutch making a racket also........It's not broke yet though.

Mutt - If I am not mistaken.. The idler is the one that usually gets messed up when it get really muddy and wet... Might want to check that one first..

Ben,

Yeah, I'm kind of ignoring it........because Tirzeh has been giving me non stop grief about what I did to her Jeep! It's going in for a service tomorrow, LOL I don't change the oil, so hopefully they'll warranty it.

Yes the idler pully is the one to watch out for. I have a picture of it on my photobucket if you need to see where it is. To take tension off the serpentine belt, you want to use a socket wrench and pull the bottom wheel up twards the hood. That will take the tention off so you can remove the unit and replace it. I looked into some aftermarket pulley's but it was an either/or situation as to weather to upgrade or not.

Well, I still haven't been able to get my initial problem fixed, they had to order the part. Of course, it was the same part the went after last year's OBX trip. Unfortunately, now the fan has just stopped working altogether. So, it looks like I'll be laying out even more green to get this thing taken care of.
