Came across this and thought I'd share

www.nc4x4.com had compiled a list of places to wheel, along with links for more information, on their website. Its at the very top of their forum under useful information.

So who is coming to Uwharrie in April? We went a few times last year, did not seem to be as crowded as in years past, unless we just hit it on a lucky day.

I'll go to Uwharrie.

DPG is out, for me. Looks like the guys are all wheeling rock buggies :)

I'll most definitely do Fort Fisher and Outer Banks again in the summer --- probably make it a two-day camping trip too. Have to check out the local seafood restaurants in Outer Banks.

I'll check out Brown Mountains at some point.

What about fire roads?

Are you a KJWest transplant to the east coast?

We wheeled with them in Moab 2004.

Look forward to seeing you on the trails this year! As far as fire roads, there are a few that we have wheeled up in the Boone/Blowing Rock area, some I have heard have been closed due to stupid people abusing the area and nearby property owners complaints. Don't really know for sure - we were in Boone today but did not have time to stop and check anything out. Have also heard that there are some trails near Appalachain Ski Mtn and Beech Mtn but once again, not definite on that. The ones posted on nc4x4.com are open to the public, some with a small fee such as Uwharrie's day pass for $5. The folks at nc4x4 have a good communication with the park rangers, so its a good place to keep up to date on park schedules, etc.

I love NC 4X4. I registered on their forum a while back. I don't post much, but I've been trying to keep tabs on it. Very helpful info over there.

Same here. Let's get more people in the club and go out & have some fun. I am going to try to print out flyers and stick them on people's windshields (there are a couple of TJ's and KJ's in my work's parking lot).

I was praying for some help with my taxes this year, but due to the LOW income, it looks like a lost cause. Yahoo. I guess I will be able to do tires at some point, but I am uncertain about the rest...

Not that my pimpmobile will need much to hang out at UNF...

Count me in!
