Some of you may know me from my TJ a couple years ago. Image

I was good friends with redwolf. But I think he is way too cool for all of us now with his big bad cherokee.

I was looking through pics and I remembered the guy who had a CJ who always went wheeling with his wife and kids. I can't remember his name.

Anyways the KJ is really for my wife and she loves it. 05 renegade

Hopefully in a couple weeks we'll be going back to Carolina Beach for some camping. You guys are more than welcome to come hang with us as we will be inviting whoever. Once I know exactly when I'm going i'll post a date.

Eric

If it was a brown CJ7 at Uwharrie, it was probably my husband - Chris. We always take our daughter with us! It has since been replaced with a TJ (he has gotten soft in his old age), and my KJ has been replaced with a more fuel-friendly DD. We have been wheeling the TJ for a couple years now - AC and fuel injection are great!! (Moving on up into 1980's era technology!)

YEP! That was you guys! It's funny you mention fuel injection. Everytime I speak of an example of how carburation on the trails can be tough I always talk about that CJ on real steep angles how it would bog or alot of times shut-off.

I think the first thing I'm going to do to her KJ is tires. I'm really thinking about keeping stock tire size though. (I know, replacing tires on a jeep stock size is un-heard of..lol) The reason is that I am really not planning on taking it on hardcore trails and I don't want to effect gas mileage since it's main purpose is dd. I mainly want it to be set-up for the beach. My plans are tires, roof basket with lights, and light guards for a little added look. hehe.

So anyone know of a steal on a all-terrain tire around? I've always run bfg a/t however I've always been impressed with the destination a/t's. I just need something with a little more bite than the stockers. B/C They SUCK in the sand.

The stock Goodyear HP's are no good when they get wet either. There should be a "do not get wet" disclaimer pasted on them.

Eric eric Eric....

What a way to start your posts...

Play nice, I still know your family...

Congratulations on the "wife" thing. I heard you were living in Garner, didn't realize you had landed the big prize though...

hahahaha Daniel my man!!

Yeah I'm actually living in Clayton working in Morrisville. Going on 8 months (I believe *Gulp) lol with the wifey.

Any particular reason you got rid of your KJ? Or just a change for more room more power?

You need to come next time we all head out to carolina beach camping for the weekend.

Update: I'm going to have to bring her in to the dealership for some work. Anyone have or heard anything against capital dodge/chrysler off 70 close to white oak?

Problem seems to be alignment hopefully. Tugs a little hard to the left and it seems like the steering wheel is overly stiff. (ps levels fine) Also the tire pressure indicator pops on intermittently. So I guess they need to find a bad sensor and replace that. Any of this sound familiar to any of you guys?

p.s. I read the sticky in the tire section...

I can save $5 a tire by getting the 245-70-26 opposed to the 235-70-16. Is it really a gamble with the 245 and rubbing or will I be fine with no lift??

245/70-16 will rub without lift.
