First I should say that I couldn't have done it without some great spotting and direction from the guys from East Coast Trail Raiders.

Now the bragging... we took the liberty up Daniel without one winch, strap, push, pull osr anything. It was amazing what that thing will climb. I see now that I need rock rails and tires a little more bite.

pics coming... I didn't get to take many, but the other guys did.

Rescu,

I'm dying to see the pictures - I have avoided Daniel every time there.

I'm still waiting on them myself :(

I can tell you that 11 years as a firefighter came in handy. This is not a trail for people who have no nerve :)

Well first off hey y'all. We definitely had a great time in URE, and really enjoyed rescu's company. He did really well for a :cough: liberty :cough: :D J/K... Here's some vids, not too great but you get what you pay for right.

THANKS JAKE! This is the one to the first step up. It was the toughest obstacle. Remember, this is with open diffs. Next mod is a locker...

I actually made it up. He stopped filming after um... 7 minutes of trying... Soon after I did get on over it though. I'll have a locker next time I try it.

I know I'm a bit late to chime in but I enjoyed your company (this is John btw of ECTR). Would love to have you ride with us again. I think we will be planning another trip in URE around late october, november, or beginning of december before they close. URE is wonderful when it starts to get colder outside and you can actually get in your sleeping bag.

I was a little upset with the filming by the way... I can't believe he didnt get you going up but... a lot of the stuff I couldn't even upload because it was taken while riding from inside a jeep or he was a.d.d. and filmed the ground or people instead of vehicles haha.

No worries. I can't blame the guy for giving up filming after 7 minutes of trying. We'll just get the video of me making it next time I climb it.

I'd love to go again when it cools off. By then I should have it all fixed up. I'm putting aside about $1,000 per month of my budget for mods. Starting in August (maybe July).

I did a clevis lift for a little more lift up front. I also noticed that my BFG's took a beating last time. I may replace the tires with something tougher. I actually have chunks missing out ouf my tire blocks.

Later,
Rescu2000
