I have said this a couple times actually, but now I guess its true.
My Wife and I are moving to the Ralegh/Durham area in the begining of Aug. It's true, I was defeated with one hell of an offer
My mother in law called my wife the other day, and told her that she is really sad, she quit her job (many reasons), and she really wants us near her (she has no one.) In other words, (Menopause).
So, here is her idea to help us out when we go out there.
She is giving us her house to stay in, (rent). She is moving into a single person condo. (thats our rent, we pay her monthly rent, and we get the house... :? )
Does this sound like a trap to any one? Idk, this is all pretty crazy to me.
On the other hand, if she is really depressed, I would like to be around to try and help her. She really doesn't have any other family around. they all live in Greece, and Zimbabwe, and places in Europe.

I take it your mother-in-law is single?

If not, get her a computer and send her to Meetup.com.
We have tons of groups that she can find interest in and find friends to make her happy.

Also, if she gets a condo in Cary, then she can enjoy all the benefits of the Senior Center and the like that our former mayor shoved down our throats. Cary is going to be the new Florida retirement village. Oy vey!

BTW, you'll miss the snow and pleasant summers. We just went through a week of 100+ degree heat and high humidity. Woo hoo!!

I guess you're not into the extended family thing?

You need to figure out a way to get her involved with a group her age, or her hobbies or her church groups - or something, - otherwise she'll be over talking to your wife every free minute - you will be her hobby.

Meetup.com is not a singles site. It's a special interest group site. Dog owners, French speakers, knitters, hikers, almost any type of hobby or interest. It's about getting those groups together in the real world.

I just happen to run a large singles group using the site.

You liked looking at one of the ones I dated from that group.

You'll probably thinking of her bending over right now and will have to go excuse yourself.

It's about compromises isn't it? :)

Yes, drop dead gorgeous looks don't help when you are a looney tune.
