Just got back from Uwharrie. We had to cut our visit a little short. The DEA and the FDA are both in our plant next week, so I decided to come home and get a good night's sleep tonight because next week will be a long week...

Anyway, we got to do everything we wanted to do anyway. We met up with Beforedawn in Apex and drove on down early Friday morning. We grabbed a camp site and hit the trails. We started out by taking Rocky Mountain Loop around to slab pile, then on to do the mud slide at wolf's den. The next trail was Dutch John, going UP the cattle chute.

We finished off the day by driving in the back way to Daniel so that Beforedawn and his dad could see the view from there.

The next day we went to the Outpost to eat breakfast. We waited around until about 9:30 hoping we could run into Uvalax. We also met up with some friends of beforedawn in a Cherokee with 32's and a good lift.

We then hit the trails again. The plan was Rocky Mountain Loop to Sawmill, down to slab pile then Wolf Den around to Falls Dam and Dicky Bell back to the camp.

I won't steal Beoredawn's thunder, so I will let him fill you guys in on our little adventure. A few pics will be posted soon...

We even discussed doing some more trail riding without the shock. Our main concern was that spring popping out and rolling off a hill...

Next season, I will have a portable welder with me and this would have been a 5 minute fix. The shock actually still cycled...

We still had fun, and Beforedawn got to see what it was capable of. I only wish we had done the rock climb on Dicky Bell before the mount broke. Maybe next time...
