We try and get it to an annual thing. Sometimes it doesn't work out, (last year) but I know a few people will be trying to get something started soon.

I was saying that in lue of the court ruling in September. Hopefully they will change their minds.

Yea, some of you guys probably know a lot more about what is going on than I do. But if I understand it correctly, there is a group that is complaining that there is no written policy for off road vehicles. All they have to do is write down a simple policy and the beaches are opened back up. Is that correct? If so, we need to have some politicians fired...

Well, you only got part of the story :) Yeah, the lack of clear and enforced rules resulted in the lawsuit, however the outcome of the lawsuit was that the park service got a period of time to implement the rules and policies.

What we are experiencing is the result of some of that rules and policies being implemented.

If you are going to do something, tape a brick to those invitations you get from Audubon Society or Sierra Club and mail it back.

so I need someone in the know here as to what and where you can go. Looking to head that direction in mid September (after Labor daysometime) , so where should I head to get on some beaches without being thrown off or arrested!
Give me some names / lists of places etc if you would and I will start planning my little get away!

Your best course of action is to go to NPS.gov, and go to the page on the outer banks, find the phone number to the ranger's office and ask for up-to-date closure status. Last time I was there it was mentioned that the closure might be lifted in August / September time frame.
