anyone have any experience removing the rear drive shaft my u-joints need to be replaced and the haynes manual is a little hazy on how to remove them.

It's been so long I wouldn't call my experience relevent! Seems like the shaft simply blted up through the joints.

4 bolts ( depends what year you have they changed them from a strap, ) take out the bolts, may have to tap the rear joint to get it loose out of the pocket it sits in and pull it out.
